Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building on the Guidelines for Preparing and Evaluating Feasibility Studies (FS) for Solid Waste Management Projects
On 20–21 May 2026, UNDP Indonesia through the Sustainable Infrastructure Programme in Asia (SIPA), in collaboration with Bappenas, organized a Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building event on the Guidelines for Preparing and Evaluating Feasibility Studies (FS) for Solid Waste Management Projects. The event brought together government institutions, development partners, financial institutions, and technical experts to strengthen the quality of project preparation in the waste management sector.
The discussions focused on the application of the Five Case Model (5CM) approach to ensure that waste management projects are strategically justified, financially viable, implementable, and investment-ready. The event also served as a platform to gather stakeholder feedback for refining the draft guidelines and promoting more consistent, evidence-based, and sustainable waste management project planning in Indonesia.
