Thematic Discussion on Institutional Arrangements and Regional Cooperation within the Framework of Integrated Waste Management Reform from Upstream to Downstream
On 22 October 2024, Bappenas and UNDP through the Sustainable Infrastructure Programme in Asia (SIPA) organized a Thematic Discussion on Institutional Arrangements and Regional Cooperation within the Integrated Waste Management Reform (Upstream–Downstream) Framework in Jakarta. The event brought together ministries, local governments, development partners, and private sector representatives to discuss institutional options for waste operators (UPTD/BLUD/BUMD), explore collaboration models such as public service delivery, asset utilization, and PPPs, and identify follow-up actions to strengthen integrated waste management reform in Indonesia.
